"Music," "Quarries" and "Natural Sounds" ... Since 2000 three different ingredients that give SUONINCAVA a higher mark of success. Each year from 16 to 20 August, against the backdrop of the quarry Pizzicoli in Apricena, natural oasis, surrounded by boulders and reddish dusty ground under a starry sky of August once again the charm of this musical event.

A variety of sonic atmospheres that annually accompanies the lovers of good music in the bowels of the earth. An active stone quarry, becomes for five days, an natural stage. A frame to enclose notes, sounds and noise emitted by pneumatic hammers, chisels, diamond wire saws and caterpillar. The recent editions of SUONINCAVA drew attention to the shift that has marked the last years of the event, in order to propose a public increasingly heterogeneous, a large audience of artists, from folk to ska, without forgetting its origins ... jazz. This is not an event in search of its identity. The goal is to satisfy all lovers of music, people from dissimilar tastes, but united by the charm that only an active quarry like that of Apricena can give.

Suonincava has always had as its primary objective to promote, disseminate and implement appropriate initiatives to promote and enhance the local cultural heritage, folk traditions and history of Apricena, proposing itself , for that purpose, as a reference point of culturally relevant activities and especially relating to disclosure of Culture and Music in particular.
