| August 18th: Waiting for Incognito | 18.08.11 |
|
Born in the seventies, in 1979, the Incognito released their first album whose title, "jazz funk" is a kind of manifesto: Jean-Paul Maunick and partners will open the way for it to acid-jazz, a genre that explodes in the nineties. It is in that decade that Incognito released their second album in twelve years after the first effort. The success came thanks to "Do not you worry 'bout The Thing", a cover of Stevie Wonder, and later, songs such as "Deep Waters" and "Need to Know" will remain in the annals of world music.
